Randy Kay

Randy Kay founded PACEsetters pursuant to a 30-plus year extensive and multi-disciplinary study of exemplary leaders to determine the characteristics and skills demonstrated by thriving individuals who make big impacts not just for themselves, but for others as well. These leaders with high integrity were eventually called PACEsetters, based on the four foundations upon which these thriving and impactful individuals excelled: Purpose, Attitude, Connection, and Energy. Corresponding skills were subsequently determined for developing each foundation to its fullest, which became known as The Power to Thrive! workshop and book authored by Kay. Most recently, Kay worked with Meritcore to develop the Thriving Mindset Leadership (TML) course, a training platform based a several-year study of resiliency completed by Dr. Wayne Hammond, president and executive director of Resiliency Initiatives.

Kay has been an accomplished CEO of four successful companies, humanitarian, corporate executive for Fortune 100 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, and a success trainer for some of the most accomplished people and companies in the world.  He is a transformational change-maker who is pioneering a new definition of success that encourages people to follow their unique journey and reach their singular destination.  Kay has shared his knowledge and the collective experience of generations of success “masters” in Daily Keys to Success, the world’s most comprehensive compendium of success factors for improving one’s skills and abilities to produce a thriving life; and, is soon to release his newest books, The 22 Most Important Things and The Power to Thrive!

After a long, successful career and life producing results for Fortune 500 companies and training thousands, Randy Kay created TenorCorp as a strategic development organization for individuals and companies throughout the world.  He has coached or trained countless highly successful people to achieve their own unique success by customizing an approach using consistent success factors:  universal principles, skills, and practices that once grasped and applied, will assure a thriving life of success.

Randy Kay is the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of PACEsetters, a world-class human development firm focused on assessing and teaching thriving skills, and    chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TenorCorp, a diversified strategic development firm that works with emerging to large companies, and individuals seeking to grow their business or personal and team skills.

Earlier in his career he served as CEO of a biotech company and a media company, commercial executive with large pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and chairman or board member for numerous philanthropic organizations. Kay is also a channel partner with The Ken Blanchard Company and is training certified in over 100 skill development courses, and is a master certified coach.  A graduate of Northwestern University, Kay began his career in marketing for Procter & Gamble and by creating promotional campaigns for worldwide corporations.  However, ask him to define his success, and Kay says, “Success for me is when I see my contributions reflected in the success of someone else so they can thrive.”

Rich Marshall spent the first several years of his career serving as a Pastor; the last 20 plus years in San Jose Ca where he was pastor for a large congregation. During his time in San Jose he led in the establishment of several congregations and saw dozens of missionaries sent around the world in Kingdom work. During these very fruitful years in ministry the Lord began to reveal to him the very powerful aspect of marketplace ministry.

In 1999 he resigned as pastor of his local congregation and began an itinerant ministry to business leaders, revealing to them the call to serve the Lord through their work. He authored two books: God@Work and God@Work II. These books are now published in several languages and are continuing to have an impact around the world.

After a few years of conference ministry, the Lord began to lay on his heart the need to take his knowledge and skills into the corporate setting, especially to deal with ethics issues and people skills in the workplace. Since 2005, he has been working extensively with business leaders around the world, in over 50 countries at this time. For nearly two years he focused his attention in the Caribbean where he was called to serve as a leadership and management consultant to several companies.
